The Pirates

The Pirates Dragon Boat Team is one of the veteran members of the Fraser Valley Dragon Boat Club. Formed in April of 2005, this will be The Pirates fourth season on the water. With the beginning of a New Year comes new goals, expectations and definitely more fun. The Gold Medal winners (F Division) at Alcan are hoping to improve on their performances from last year. With three years under their belt and with a renewed commitment to compete, The Pirates have all the ingredients needed to create another memorable season. For more information please email Ian Paul .

The Thunderstrokers

tstrokers

FRASER VALLEY THUNDERSTROKERS formed in 2002 as a co-ed fun recreational team.  While in the boat this team surprised people by their total focus, and great paddling technique, and have had some great race results. Out of the water the Strokers are a very sociable and fun team.  Practices are twice a week throughout the summer, and usually enter at least 6 major events.  If you would like to know more about this team please email Cindy-Lee Ferguson.

Myriad Mavericks

MYRIAD MAVERICKS is a third year dragon boating team. This team is number one when it comes to hard work, effort and drive.  It knows how to push its paddles.  It knows how to win those races.  And most importantly, it knows how to have fun, both on and off the water.  The Myriad Mavericks is looking for new paddlers this year to fill its roster.  The team practices once a week on Wednesday nights, with an optional second practice on Sunday afternoons.  The team will be participating in five regattas this year.  If you know how to have fun, enjoy a team atmosphere and are interested in one of the most under-rated sports around, the Mavericks would love for you to be on the team.  For more information, email Ashala or call 604-701-2407.

THE CRUSADERS

The Crusaders New for 2007, this up and coming team has a core unit of new and veteran paddlers on it.  We're looking for more new paddlers to join.  We practice on Sunday morning. Not too early, we're there @ 9:00 am and on the water for two to two and one half hours.  We're off the water early enough to give you time off to enjoy the day.  We're looking for people that will try hard, do their best and know that's all we can ask for.  We have one of the best coaches from Vancouver to accelerate our rate of learning the perfect Dragon boat stroke.  Real men do paddle and we're looking for some men that will accept the challenge to try the fastest growing sport in B.C.  I would challenge all men to try this sport knowing you’re going to excel at it faster then any other true sport you've tried.  We're looking for women as well with the drive to succeed.  Well don't wait any longer, Call Manfred at 604-792-9336 or Kathy at 604-819-1676.  Leave a message and we'll get back to you A.S.A.P.
